SCENE OVERVIEW

From raw brief to assembled result — the eight scenes STOCKSNAP delivers.

Every STOCKSNAP engagement begins with a clear brief and ends with a working result. Each of the eight service scenes below describes the client's starting point, the framing we apply, and the finished cut we deliver.

SCENE A — STRATEGY

Technology Strategy Consulting

Most businesses have a set of technology problems that are understood individually but not coherently. A technology strategy engagement with STOCKSNAP frames the full technology landscape, identifies the highest-priority areas for investment, and produces a structured roadmap that connects technology decisions to commercial outcomes. We work at board and executive level, aligning technology plans with business objectives, investment cycles, and operational realities.

Technology audit and current-state assessment
Strategic roadmap with prioritised milestones
Technology investment justification and ROI framework
Board-level technology presentation and stakeholder alignment
Final Cut A documented technology strategy with a sequenced investment roadmap, validated against the business's commercial objectives and ready for board approval and execution.
SCENE B — DEVELOPMENT

Custom Software Development

When off-the-shelf platforms cannot be configured to meet specific operational requirements, custom software development is the correct answer. STOCKSNAP designs and builds bespoke applications, web platforms, and mobile solutions from a precisely framed specification. We do not begin development until the architecture has been agreed, the scope has been locked, and the delivery sequence has been confirmed. The result is software built for purpose, not adapted from a general template.

Web application development (frontend and backend)
Mobile application development (iOS and Android)
Custom enterprise software and platform development
Legacy system modernisation and re-platforming
Final Cut A production-ready software system built to agreed specification, fully tested, documented, and deployed on the client's preferred infrastructure.
SCENE C — CLOUD

Cloud Computing & Infrastructure

Cloud migration and infrastructure design engagements require precise sequencing to avoid data risk, compliance failure, and business disruption. STOCKSNAP designs cloud strategies that match the client's actual requirements — not the preferred vendor's recommended configuration. We manage migrations in controlled phases, validate compliance at each stage, and ensure that the resulting infrastructure is sized, secured, and operated for the client's specific workload rather than for a theoretical average.

Cloud strategy and migration planning
AWS, Azure, and GCP architecture design and deployment
Network infrastructure design and security configuration
Cost optimisation and cloud governance framework
Final Cut A fully operational cloud environment with documented architecture, configured security, cost governance, and a post-migration confirmation that performance meets agreed standards.
SCENE D — SECURITY

Cybersecurity Services

Cybersecurity is not a product purchase. It is a continuous posture that must be assessed, structured, and maintained against a realistic threat model. STOCKSNAP conducts formal security assessments, identifies vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and processes, and delivers a remediation programme that addresses risk in priority order. We align our work with UK frameworks including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, and provide documentation suitable for insurance, procurement, and regulatory purposes.

Security posture assessment and vulnerability mapping
Penetration testing and risk remediation
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus alignment
Incident response planning and security documentation
Final Cut A documented security posture with a prioritised remediation log, implemented controls, and formal certification where applicable — ready for client, insurer, and regulator review.
SCENE E — DATA & AI

Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

Most organisations collect more data than they can use. The challenge is not volume — it is architecture. STOCKSNAP designs analytics frameworks and AI solutions from a precise understanding of the questions the business actually needs answered. We do not implement AI for its own sake. Every machine learning model, every analytics platform, and every intelligence layer we build is scoped directly against a defined commercial use case, with measurable success criteria established before development begins.

Analytics architecture and data pipeline development
Business intelligence platform design and deployment
Machine learning model development and integration
AI solution design with commercial use-case validation
Final Cut An operational analytics or AI system delivering measurable insight against the agreed use cases, with documentation, governance framework, and staff enablement included.
SCENE F — INTEGRATION

Systems Integration & API Development

Organisations running multiple disconnected platforms carry a silent operational cost in duplicated effort, manual reconciliation, and data inconsistency. STOCKSNAP maps integration requirements across the full system landscape, designs API architectures that connect existing platforms efficiently, and builds integration layers that eliminate the manual work sitting between systems. Our approach ensures that connected systems remain independently maintainable while functioning as a coherent operational whole.

Integration strategy and API architecture design
REST and GraphQL API development and documentation
Third-party platform integration (CRM, ERP, payments, logistics)
Enterprise service bus and middleware implementation
Final Cut A fully integrated system landscape with documented API layer, connected platforms, and a measurable reduction in manual process overhead from day one of operation.
SCENE G — DEVOPS

DevOps & Automation Services

Development and operations that run on manual processes, inconsistent environments, and informal deployment practices accumulate technical debt and operational fragility at a rate that compounds over time. STOCKSNAP designs and implements DevOps frameworks that standardise environments, automate deployment pipelines, and introduce monitoring that makes system health visible before problems become incidents. We treat infrastructure as code, deployment as a controlled process, and operational reliability as a measurable standard.

CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Monitoring, alerting, and observability platform setup
Final Cut An automated deployment pipeline with standardised environments, active monitoring, and a documented operations runbook — reducing release risk and operational overhead from first use.
SCENE H — TRANSFORMATION

Digital Transformation Services

Digital transformation is not a technology project. It is a business change programme that uses technology as the primary lever. STOCKSNAP approaches transformation engagements by starting with the business model, identifying where technology can create competitive advantage or operational efficiency, and designing a change programme that moves people, processes, and systems together. We manage the full transformation lifecycle from strategy through to delivery, maintaining commercial alignment at each phase and measuring success against agreed business outcomes.

Digital transformation strategy and business case
Change management framework and stakeholder communication
Legacy system replacement and process modernisation
Transformation programme management from brief to final cut
Final Cut A completed transformation programme with new operational processes live, legacy systems decommissioned where agreed, and measurable business outcomes documented at delivery.
ASSEMBLY PROCESS

How a STOCKSNAP service engagement is sequenced.

Every STOCKSNAP engagement follows the same disciplined sequence regardless of the service scene. We receive the brief, frame the problem, arrange the delivery sequence, execute the work, review the output, and release a finished result. The same rigour applies to a two-week advisory engagement as to a twelve-month development programme.

We charge a fixed engagement fee agreed at the point of scoping. There are no variable billing surprises, no scope-creep charges without formal change control, and no ambiguity about what is included in the delivery. What we agree is what we deliver.

FAQ — SCENE QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions
about STOCKSNAP services.

STOCKSNAP LTD works with established small and medium-sized businesses and larger organisations across the United Kingdom. We are not positioned for early-stage startups without defined operating processes. Our ideal client is an organisation with existing operations, a defined technology challenge, and a genuine commercial need for the work. We work with organisations from around 20 employees upward, including multi-site, national, and regulated businesses.
No. While our completed project history includes financial services, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, logistics, and professional services, our framing discipline and delivery methodology apply across sectors. If your organisation has a complex technology challenge that needs structuring and resolving, we are likely in a position to help. We will be direct during the brief review process if an engagement falls outside our practical capability.
The engagement begins with a brief submission through our contact page. We review the brief within two business days and respond with either a request for clarification or a framing proposal outlining our initial understanding of the challenge, a suggested scope structure, and indicative timeline. If both parties agree to proceed, we conduct a formal discovery session to complete the scene framing, following which we produce a full engagement proposal with scope, deliverables, timeline, and fixed fee.
Yes. Support, maintenance, and ongoing improvement are what we refer to as "keeping the reel ready." Following delivery of any system or platform, we offer structured support arrangements covering monitoring, maintenance, update management, and access to a named consultant for technical queries. Support arrangements are agreed at the point of engagement and quoted separately from the primary delivery scope.
We work primarily on a fixed-price basis because we believe that price certainty is a basic requirement of a professional engagement. Fixed pricing requires that scope is properly defined before work begins, which aligns with our framing discipline. For exploratory or advisory engagements where scope cannot be fixed in advance, we offer structured time-and-materials arrangements with clear day-rate transparency and defined review points. In all cases, there are no surprise costs without a formal change request and client approval.
Our core team handles strategy, architecture, and senior engineering work. For specific technical disciplines, we engage vetted specialist engineers from our practitioner network who are selected for each engagement based on the precise technical requirements of the project. All work is managed and quality-reviewed by our senior team. We do not outsource delivery management, client communication, or quality assurance to third parties. The client always works directly with the STOCKSNAP team throughout the engagement.
Yes. This is actually a common starting point. Many organisations know that something is not working, or that a technology opportunity exists, but have not been able to define the problem or the solution clearly enough to commission work. Framing that ambiguity into a structured, actionable brief is one of the core services we provide. A technology strategy or discovery engagement is specifically designed for this situation. You bring the operational context; we frame the technical challenge.
